Meet the Bright Side of the Moon Team

Alyssa DeNardi

Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Co-Founder
I am a mother and Board Certified Behavior Analyst who lives in Lavallette, New Jersey. I have over 15 years of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis, educating children and parents from diverse backgrounds. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2001. In addition, I have a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Trained by the Princeton Child Development Institute, I have worked as a program coordinator, parent trainer, behavior therapist, and supervisor for The Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention, Alpine Learning Group, and Above and Beyond Learning Group. I have also been the school behavior consultant at a primary and middle school, where I trained staff, conducted functional behavior assessments, and developed behavior intervention plans. My personal and professional goal is to help children realize their potential and lead independent, fulfilling lives. I have successfully toilet trained and treated challenging behaviors with individuals ranging in age from 18 months to 17 years. There is no better feeling than seeing a child become successful, while their parents celebrate that success. I adore the families I work with and feel grateful to have a job I love!

Nicole Lempa

Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Co-Founder
I am a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. When I was 3 years old and my little brother was born, I immediately wanted to care for him. It was then that my passion for working with children began. I entered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2004. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston. I also hold a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. In 2011, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. My experience in the field includes 11 years as a preschool teacher and working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities from ages 2 to 25. I have worked as a clinical manager, program coordinator, supervisor, ABA therapist, special education teacher, and district behavior consultant. One of my greatest joys is sharing in the pride and excitement parents feel when their child accomplishes something new. I have toilet trained over 100 children of varying abilities, as well as developed and implemented positive behavior support and feeding programs. I support families through each step and every hurdle as they become closer to meeting their goals. I’m excited to bring my years of experience and expertise to my new venture as co-founder of Bright Side of the Moon.
