    What is Discipline Coaching?

    Do you find it challenging to strike a balance between encouraging your child’s independence and individuality, while setting limits and teaching them to follow rules?  It can be exhausting and frustrating when your child does not listen, refuses to follow directions, or throws a tantrum.  At Bright Side of the Moon, we believe in a positive approach to discipline that does not involve bribery or punishment.  First, we use the science of applied behavior analysis to assess your child’s behavior and develop a comprehensive behavior plan.  Then, our discipline coaches teach you to use positive reinforcement and effective consequences to improve your child’s behavior.  Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where both you and your child feel successful and confident.

    What is Sleep Training?

    Whoever came up with the phrase “sleeps like a baby” clearly never dealt with a screaming infant waking up 6 times a night!  Even babies who slept through the night at an early age can have sleep regressions, difficulty transitioning into a big kid bed, or trouble settling down for the night as they get older.  When your child’s lack of sleep is beginning to cause behavior problems and your exhaustion is taking a toll on your mental and physical health, it’s time to call in the experts.  At Bright Side of the Moon, we help children learn to fall asleep, stay asleep, sleep on their own, and stay in their beds.  Our approach focuses on positive reinforcement and making bedtime relaxed and enjoyable.
